A tall vertical composition

A tall vertical composition. In the lower part of the frame, a single dandelion stem rises from the bottom edge, topped with a round seed head. The dandelion's seeds are tiny folded paper airplanes: a few still cling to the seed head, and a long stream of them drifts away upward and to the right through the frame. The paper airplanes nearest the seed head are tiny, and they grow larger as they climb, until the highest airplanes, at the top of the frame, are each as large as the whole seed head. A few blades of grass curve up beside the stem at the bottom of the frame. A cyanotype print: deep Prussian blue paper with every object in crisp white and pale blue silhouettes, soft at the edges, with the grainy, hand-brushed borders and gentle mottling of a sun-printed photogram.
