A two-block linocut of an old diving

vtxlinocut, a two-block linocut of an old diving helmet resting on its broad collar, its enormous empty face opening facing the viewer slightly off-center. Square close-up from a low viewpoint. Coral red builds the helmet's upper dome and continues through the left collar onto the supporting ledge. Cobalt blue crosses the right dome, lower rim and the background behind the opening. Their deep violet overlap forms a thick irregular crescent connecting brow, side joint and collar, giving the helmet its immense hollow weight. White paper constitutes most of the face opening, a smaller side port and the gap beneath the collar lip. Keep the ports attached to one coherent shell and simplify fastenings into three blunt accents. Two broad curved cuts follow the dome; metal faces remain quiet. An abandoned vessel for a human gaze. Dense matte ink, sensitive gouged edges, restrained local ink irregularity; no polished metallic reflections, rivet inventory, text or added border.
