A digital painting of an androgynous figure

A digital painting of an androgynous figure whose form is disintegrating into a storm of fractured, crystalline shards. The piece is rendered with visceral, gestural brushwork that blurs the line between form and abstraction, carrying the heavy texture of dried oil paint on a rough canvas. Captured from a slightly low angle, the figure desperately reaches forward with one intact hand toward a blindingly brilliant, distant point of light that hangs in an empty void. Harsh, cold light emanates from this goal, catching the iridescent edges of the dissolving fragments and casting long, distorted shadows. The color palette is a somber gradient of deep indigo and charcoal grey, violently punctuated by the searing white light and the prismatic glint of the shattering pieces.
